Seriously, who was the patent examiner that got stuck with this one? I imagine the requirements for that job are “Must like startrek, be an astrophysicist, have Einstein as one of your heroes on facebook, or not have a facebook account, and still live with your mother.”
In other words, whoever was the patent examiner, we’d love to grab a beer sometime because we think your cool.
But seriously. We’ve been pulling one image per patent and posting in this whacky invention category but a “Space Vehicle Propelled by the Pressure of Inflationary Vacuum State”, I don’t think one image can do justice.
Ahem. The abstract goes…
“A space vehicle propelled by the pressure of inflationary vacuum state is provided comprising a hollow superconductive sheild, an inner sheild [of course you have to have an inner sheild], a power source, a support structure, upper and lower means for generating an electromagnetic field, and a flux modulation controller.”
Hold up. Is “flux modulation controller” the new flux capacitor? Awesome, just awesome.
Check it out at patent number 6960975 issued to Boris Volfson.
And the primary examiner is Ramon M. Barrera. Look us up Ramon, we owe you a beer.
